I was just thinkin after listening to a song someone posted. We used to talk about them lots back in the day.
They have some cool shit. I've been to a few shows. I can understand why people hate on the scene- a lot of Phish heads are stupid wooks, but there's also a lot of really cool people who like them too.

Don't worry I'm braced for the shitstorm of h8ers. :shitstorm:

just for the record... this thread was inspired by Echolyn. Phish is fine but both bands are awesome... remember when people would just listen to other peeps music and try and dig it with them?

hey I aint trying to hate on Echolyn man. They just reminded me of Phish, and then I got to thinking about how much we used to post Phish songs in the pub all the time back in the day when it was mostly hippies and stuff up in here.

It's a good thing- Echolyn reminded me of one of my favorite bands.

Phish is as good as Echolyn. one gets better treatment though. whatever. Phish is just one kind of music, it's not particularly so masterful as to be this unique shining snowflake everyone makes them out to be. but they are good though. nothing about them is inane or un-gratifying. it's just like Tool... you hear about them all way too much, all the time... or at least i do.

meh... i go now. :shrug: if i make an Echolyn thread it'd just die in a matter of minutes to the next page to never heard from again.

You oughta work on your reading skills bud. But the scene has become more music based now then it was years ago. If you think that the scene is bad now you should've seen it in 2000, 2003-2004. That shit was outta hand.
