The Superbowl in 4 lines:

Refs were horrible
Hawks didn't make the key plays
Steelers made enough plays to win
Brown and Bubbly is the worst marketing campaign ever

ok...here are my thoughts;

Big Ben....DID NOT SCORE

i was unsure with the play. i think he wouldve made it if that seahawk hadn't hit him at the last second and forced his arm back. but it's not like it's the seahawks fault. it wasn't really a TD, i don't think so. so kudos to them for making it close because a lot of defenses would just be like:  :frown:

Quote:

WR Reverse Pass for TD----Bitch play

so the steelers using a trick play that totally catches the seahawks off guard is considered a 'bitch' play just because they didn't run right all through them? please. it was a clever way to score, and they did just that. if the seahawks did it, you'd be like "wow, that was pretty clever. kudos to them for outsmarting the steelers. they shouldve won because they used their heads in this game." right. instead, the steelers made the play and the seahawks racked up penaltys all night.

Quote:

Seattle TD..pass interference.....BULLSHIT

he obviously pushed off of him at the last second and caught the ball. the defender had no chance to rebound from it, even if it was the slightest force being pressed against him. it was so quick that he didn't have a chance in hell to break it up.

Quote:

Troy Poloamalu...1 tackle..please

yeah i thought that troy polamalu was going to be a much bigger factor coming into this game. but on the big stage he couldn't really manage to get anything done.

Quote:

And once again...Bill Cowher wins a game based on luck, bullshit, and getting the calls.....please.

The Refs must have been payed off or something.......

i think even if ben roethlisberger didn't get that TD and the seahawks did, the steelers would have still came out in front. they played with so much strength and heart. even if ben did bad at QB all night, they did manage to outsmart them seahawks with unique trick plays and if you remember, the steelers did have possession last so i have a feeling that even if trailing, the steelers could easily make a comeback. but we'll never know.

Everybody's talking about how Ben had such a bad game. He did have two interceptions and his QB rating was abysmal...but he made an incredibly smart play. Remember when the pocket was collapsing, he scrambled, and he looked to see where the line of scrimmage was? That was very smart and I think a decent amount of veteran QB's might have made that mistake. It was impressive to see a 2nd year quarterback in his first Superbowl do that.

How about the Hasselbeck call where he threw the interception, made the tackle and was called for a fucking chop BLOCK.  Are you fucking kidding me?  15 yard penalty.  And I need to see some pics of the football in Roethlisberger's hands, crossing the goalline.  You won't find any.

But I agree, the seahawks did make mistakes.  Their tightend dropping 4+ passes, horrible use of time management at the end...

Overall, it was a pretty lackluster game, IMO.

I really wanted to see Seattle make a comeback. Not a win, but a comeback. I felt a little disapointed with this years game.

You really want me to dig up the picture of Ben with the ball crossing the goal line...I'd be more then happy to make you look stupid.

On Letterman he said that he didn't think he got in. Today on Rome Is Burning he said he rewatched the game tape and he got in...when he landed he wasn't over the goaline...but while in mid air..the ball crosses the plain

Um he's saying it was a touchdown, for the Steelers, and he's from Pennsylvania and a Steelers fan.
