Shroom Vodka.... Anyone try makin it?

I figure I would make it similar to a tea method, but:
Was wondering if the extraction would go better due to the alcohol. I have also never combined alcohol and shrooms, but the intended amount of vodka to be consumed would be relatively small to have any major effects. I dislike all alcohol, good pure vodka is about all I can take, and I never get drunk.

Any experience?

Tips?

where i come from nobody really grows shrooms
season comes and season goes when they just grow naturally

season ends around december
but a bloke i knew told me him and his mates always halffilled a
whiskey bottle with shrooms and drink it between them at christmas

i never tried it personally myself

Personally, I wouldn't want any alcohol in my system while shrooming, would make me more nauseous then anything. I guess I'd do it if you could condense 3 grams into 1 shot, get a little buzz going while waiting for the mush to kick in. Might be kinda fun now that I think about it.... if you ever do it, tell us how it goes!

I really do not intend to drink that much alcohol, a shot or two would not affect me in an adverse way. Nausea only comes from me actually ingesting mushrooms, so I doubt I would have problems there. I can make tea from 3 or so grams and be pretty well off, so I will follow a similar course, if I ever get around to doing so :wink:

I think the alcohol would help preserve it longer, as compared to citric acid and water. And as with some other drugs, dissolving the active components in alcohol can speed the onset. Basically I was wondering if it would have a similar effect with psilocybin. I guess I will never know  :wink:

never drink while on shrooms? i usually drink like a madman on shrooms. for some reason booze goes down mega easy while shroomin. i think it makes the trip a bit better also

Id think that it would speed the onset. Alcohol is more quickly absorbed into the blood stream than water i believe, and since psiloc(yb)in is soluble in alcohol it should go right along with it. Also, while the alcohol may preserve the shrooms longer than water, i think there would be better ways to increase the shelf life of yer mushies.

if i drink alcohol ( beer)
it brings me down off my trip quicker

for instance if i was two hours into the trip
if i start drinking alcohol then i start to fell drunk after an hour or two (not the trip goes completely its just not as good)
thats how i feel anyway

Id imagine that since alcohol makes you less clear headed it would fuck with the shroom trip. However, if you're drinking a small amount of it at the very beginning of the trip, i doubt it would effect it too much. Dont really know though, just my 2?.

Mushrooms+booze? Yes please. I love a good wine while trippin' the texture of it bein' like velvet feels lovely, like.

I've never tried 'shroom Vodka but i did make a little somrthin' outa' Mornin' Glory seeds and a bottle of Poteen. Worked a treat as it happens.

I think he meant to ask if you can use hard alchol with psilocybin the same way.

btw, would you soak dry shrooms in the vodka for a month then strain or something? or crush em to a powder, leave it for so long, then filter it out?

Dry them, grind them and leave them there for a while. The alcohol, as long as its pure, like, should keep the 'shrooms fine for an age. Think of Tekela(i know, i know its spelt incorrectly), and that little worm as an example.
Leave the 'shrooms in. At the worst they'll just sink to the bottom like sediement in wine.

This can be done......

1.-get alky with the highest proof you can find(although it may not be necessary to have 100 proof i think 80 will suffice)....
2.-then grind up cracker dry shrooms......
3.-put two grams for every shot(ounce) of alky......
4.-now let soak in a cool dark place for a week or so(also not sure on time....may be ok to soak for a day...but i say a week to be safe)......
5.-then strain through a screen then a paper towel to remove shroom sediments........

now one shot will be a two gram dose approximately

Shrooms and alcohol can work out fine when taken together. My friends and I like to call it the Morrison affect (in honor of jim morison). I would stick to a liqour, preferably vodka in light amounts, enough to get a good buzz going. To much alcohol and mushrooms can make for a rough night.

It works, even better than tea IMO. Onset is very fast (seemingly faster than with tea alone) although only one experiment has been tried at this time.

I used a similar method to making tea, and it was stored for 2 days. Came out with about 2 double shots worth, and only needed one double. I don't really worry about wasting shrooms so I used about 1/4 ounce dry, chopped real good. I let them soak for an hour or so on the first extraction, then just shook them up for awhile on the latter two extractions. Squeezed them out real good (lots of force needed), and combined the resulting blue-black liquid. Taste was not as pronounced as with tea concoctions. I may experiment further someday.
