Deschedule Psychedelics from the Controlled Substances Act of 1970

This is a proposal to deschedule psychedelics from the Controlled Substances Act of 1970 and regulate them with systems of licensing, production, and distribution.

The government has already condoned the spiritual use of psychedelics by select religious organizations on the conditions that the substances are strictly controlled and safely consumed. This is a freedom that should be entrusted to all individuals.

A license would require an individual to pass a written test, an age requirement, and a psychoanalysis. Once licensed, he/she would be permitted to consume and purchase psychedelics through a regulated distribution process.

Here, "Psychedelics" is defined as the following compounds:

Tetrahydrocannabinols, LSD, DMT, MDMA, MDA, Mescaline, Psilocybin, and Psilocin.

legality has no barings on whether or not I consume psyces or anything I choose to ingest floor that matter.

it won't ever happen, the American government does not recognize mescaline or peyote to be more accurate as having any medicinal properties at all, it is only allowed because their tradition is mixed with their religion and it is older than America and been going on for at least 5,500 years.

Those will be the last drugs to be legal, if ever. Weed everyone uses it, it's crazy to criminalize it. That gets widespread support. Opiates are super addictive but 90 percent of the problems related to it are because its illegal, same with cocaine. Hard drugs are easy to use as examples for the need for harm reduction. Those people make themselves a nuisance to society in general, joe citizen is sick of the beggers, theives, and bums that make up most of the visible addict population. There is something in it for straight society, they benefit too from ending the war on addicitive hard drugs.
You need a hook, why this is good for everyone. The rest of the non drug using population doesnt care if you get contaminated chems either. Besides the reduction in legal costs, I dont see too many advantages to legalizing the pschedelics to the people who dont use. And the hysteria of the last 45 years is going to be hard to erase.
Don't get me wrong, i still signed it, I just have little faith anything will change.
