well that's the thing, most people dont even file suit, if
nothing else the while 'confidential informant' programs that
most departments run will be nullified if people decided to
take it to court... what you should love about america is
that you can sue anyone for anything

sue the cops
sue the state
sue the judge

If it is a crime to call in a fake tip (i'm assuming it is), then shouldn't the cops have to arrest a snitch (which they probably don't have) for this kind of operation? Whatever evidence they used to bust the grow was either bogus or illegal.

Ego death: When you set up your "grow op" make sure you spend a lot of time by the door so you will be injured when they kick it down. Thats guaranteed a win, provided they don't "silence you" and plant drugs on you.

that's the point behind having cameras everywhere streaming to
another location, they cant seize the tapes and destroy them if
they dont know where they are and it's difficult to plant
evidence when everything is on tape

how did they know when FLIR detected it? Did they see the police records or something?

It just makes me wonder how many people have been busted illegally.

one way to know is the helicopter spending a bit more time
over the place than usual, from mid summer to about mid
november I get at least one fly over per day, this year I've
had them spend more time hovering over my barn, I left the
doors open on one end and a guy I lease hunting rights to
said they spent about 15 minutes trying to get a peek inside

I'm a farmer, I do nothing illegal any more, have no criminal
record that can be found yet they're trying to obtain
evidence based on nothing at all, hell, they dont even have
reason for suspicion since I've never had dealings with the
cops out here in my life
