The problem with Coulter, lies in the fact she oversimplifies everything, and attacks them from only one angle. It is generally difficult to boil a complex issue, such as why California is in the crisis that it is, down to one easily distinguishable factor. What is really needed here is a comprehesive analysis, not some name calling and selfrightous rehtoric. The only purpose writing like this serves is to prey on peoples emotions, and provide scapegoats for problems.
This is also what allows her to sell so many books; they are like bad novels, easy to understand, and good at inflaming feelings. They also offer up magic fixes to problems, generally along the lines of; take the liberals out and put conservatives in. Any politcal commentary that offers such a narrow minded analysis, and such quick solutions should not be take seriously.
On a side note, anyone on this board who has not read any Noam Chomsky politcal commentary should do so. In my veiw his books offer a much more comprehensive analysis, although they fail to provide the scapegoats and quick fixes present in Coulter's.

I was asking because I would genuinely like to know WTF is wrong with California.

On a side note, it is interesting to mention that the only thing I can see through is lead.
