Enough opuntia to feed a village... what variety is that purple one?

the purple opuntia is called opuntia santa rita :smile:

yes ive tried ripe opuntia fruit(never tried opuntia santa rita fruit)and it is very sweet,taste a little plum like very good,the opuntia candy is so dank

I've only had the red fruits in stores. I'm not sure exactly which they came from... probably ficus indica. Its been so long since I've had one though but I remember it being very tasty. The santa rita pads and fruits look like they are begging for us to eat them :inlove:

well that's not really "my" datura,these photos are specimens spotted out and about this morning
I was walking the river bank just now and spotted a bad ass datura plant that's growing straight up instead of bushy.its very healthy and its leaves are as big as large pizza slices..i climbed down the river bank and saw it has 3 big buds about to bloom..will be photographing that in a week when it blooms,the flowers should be out of this world!

Awhh badass can't wait to see it. I collected mine along some traintracks in Cali two yrs back I think someone was also growing it cuz a week later when I returned it looked like someone was planting them. I nvr got to meet the mysterious cultivator though.
