I had a buddy who liked to call himself a ladies man. Years and years ago, he got with some lady whos hubby was over-seas in the military. I told him it was a low blow and he didnt care. A skanky-skank.  Then, about 2 years ago he signed up and was deployed. His pregnant wife cheated on him with another guy.

I really had no sympathy for the guy...

No, boyfriend means nothing. Lots of girls have "boyfirends". She's only not single she's engaged or married and even then you shouldn't really care unless it's a bro's girl.

I know people who have been together way longer than a typical married couple, who you would still consider "boyfriend" and "girlfriend". Getting married isnt some magic force-field. Its an honor system. Its an unspoken understanding between men.

In my experience many many women will refer to all their partners as "boyfriend" even if it's casual and non-exclusive. I suspect this tends to stem from the fact that sexual conquest is not traditionally seen as a desirable characteristic amongst females.

Basically if a girl says: "I hooked up with my roomie, that guy from the club and the guy next door" she runs the risk of being labeled a slut. However if she terms each fling a "relationship" and refers to each conquest as an "ex" then it no longer carries the connotation of meaningless sexual adventures and rather failed, romantic pursuits.

It is because of this that most guys, especially young ones should not be deterred by a girls claim that she "has a boyfriend", simply because that label is more often than not a meaningless one.

If you hook up with a girl that has a "boyfriend" chances are it's nobody and not worth a second though.
If however you hook up with a girl, that some guy thought was important enough to slap a ring on and call his fiance, you may wind up getting your ass beat.

And not hooking up with chicks based on some "code of honor" is the least masculine thing I've ever heard. Bros before hos and all, but don't deny yourself pussy because she calls her meaningless fuckbuddy "boyfriend." :rolleyes:

It depends, if the boyfriends are good friends of yours then i'd say it would be a cheap move. I would rather have my gf cheat on me with someone i didn't know than someone i've known for years. The latter would make me furious.

Ive been cheated on It fuckin hurts.
Later in life I had the opportunity to cheat and I didnt.

I would never want someone to feel the way I did when I found out, and that lingering void of betrayal that has somehow not allowed me to give my whole self and love to anyone anymore.
Dont want to be hurt that way again.

Anyway, I have also had the opportunity to sleep with a girl who has had a boyfriend, and I didnt for what I believe to be moral reasons. So I wont be that person I hate, and even if I get cheated on again, I know it wasnt because of something ive done in my past or who I am, it was the person I was with who had no self respect/morals and Im better off without them.
