can anyone ID this mold?

It starts out green, turns white, resembles mycelium, then it turns back to green and spreads like a mother fucker. Contaminated a big crop... kinda pissed. Tossed the shit out the door. Attached is a pic of a peice of the contaminated straw logs and then pins that formed on one side due to contams on the rest of the sub. Bad ass pins, sad ass livlihood. The mold grew up the stems white then turned greenish blue on the stems. There was nothing that would cause bruising besides possible high humidity.


I want to add this straw log would not have contaminated if it didn't take too long to fruit. I left it with no heat and temps dropped and I was not around to do anything about it. This log should have been cropped around 20 days after bulk innoc. Ten days to colonize, couple days to pin and around 7 days till harvest. I need to find the source of this contam to eliminate it.

That's trich.
It starts white, sporulates green.
It continues to colonize over your substrate and mycelium while it sporulates.
The source is either:
Your syringe, your sterile technique and your cake preparation. Or that tiny cylinder its in (lack of FAE).

Trichoderma sp.

Trichoderma is a genus of fungi that is present in all soils, where they are the most prevalent culturable fungi. Many species in this genus can be characterized as opportunistic avirulent plant symbiont.

There are 89 (known)species in the Trichoderma genus. Hypocrea are teleomorphs of Trichoderma which themselves have Hypocrea as anamorphs.

Cultures are typically fast growing at 25-30°C, but will not grow at 35°C. Colonies are transparent at first on media such as cornmeal dextrose agar (CMD) or white on richer media such as potato dextrose agar (PDA). Mycelium are not typically obvious on CMD, conidia typically form within one week in compact or loose tufts in shades of green or yellow or less frequently white. A yellow pigment may be secreted into the agar, especially on PDA. Some species produce a characteristic sweet or 'coconut' odor.

Avoid vaginal discharge, it can be contaminated with yeast and certain bacteria, especially if you intercourse double dip (anal, then switch to vaginal in the same session).

Well overall it sucks cause that means my lab is fucked. I Isolate every fruiting chamber so contams shouldn't spread from one to another. I use sugarcane for bulk and was wondering if I just had a contam crop of cane? I'll have to look at it as a possibility. Does trich live through a 165f degree bath?

No, it will die at temps as low as 140F, and lower. Spores too.
Are you properly pasteurizing your sugarcane? If you're sterilizing it, that's probably why it's growing molds.

No, trich does no invade vaginas. But the fungi Yeast does.
It causes white, cottage-cheese-like discharges. It also affects male and female.

Small Handful of lime and a teaspoon of kelp extract, water, soak for 24 hours then pasteurize at 165f for at least an hour. I soak the cane longer than people usually soak grasses cause its thicker. I still have dry cane so imight compost it and see what grows. Its probably my fruiting conditions fault since my method is made to fruit quick, one flush, then toss it in the graveyard.  You can dunk and roll like the pf tek and pray for a second flush before contam.



It just sucks cause its a huge contam. I almost wanna bust out the tyvek suit and massacre it all.
