i think that's actually a sign that it's the right kind of mushroom. one way to check whether it's the right kind of shroom or not is if it bruises blue. check on that.

It could be a briuse, cubes bruise blue.

If it's like a slush that wipes off, it could be spores from a cap that already dropped his babies...
