So the Avett Brothers concert sucked pretty much

So I didnt know the band really. Just heard them here and there.

So my friend bought me a ticket and thats the only reason I went. Talent wise the band has it. But the fans where a bunch of under age girls that acted like it was a beatles concert and old couples. Two girls sitting behind me would not shut the fuck up the whole concert which pissed me and everyone around us off.

If they weren't so damn poppy and used there talent towards a better sound they would be amazing.

O well.

Those guys are from the Charlotte area where I live, so they're pretty popular around here. I like their older stuff, more blugrassy stuff. Not into that new poppy shit they do.

OLd Avett Brothers is pretty solid, but yeah, they're pretty big with the whole emotional teen girl crowd

The Avett Brother's went pop?

That's kind of a shame - I liked their bluegrassy stuff.
My friend had a couple of tickets to Los Campesinos at a new venue that had just gone up that I wanted to check out - friend didn't want them - so I took them. Probably wouldn't have paid to see the band otherwise, but I had heard some stuff and liked it. The crowd was similar. I remember seeing a bunch of girl's trying to crowdsurf, waving to the band, and then getting dropped on concrete floor. Ouch. I was 20 so I got stuck in the all ages section at a concert with a huge amount of what looked like 14-16 year olds in fan teeshirts.

It's obnoxious. It turned me off to ever going to a Los Campesinos concert again, so I know the feeling.

I turn 21 in March and I'm just excited that I don't have to put up with all ages sections at concerts. It's not unusual for touring bands(including Los Campesinos this time, because even they stopped in between songs to talk about how young the crowd was here) play an all ages set at a concert hall and a 21+ at a more bar-type venue(usually then there's a cover, but it's significantly less than the former option) when they're in town.
