Some words it's obvious on, but over all I'd say that's a relaxed accent, not nearly as strong as something like the NYC accent.


He is not from california, and I have lived in northern and southern california and no, most people do not talk like that here

Yeah hitchhikers and freight hoppers have a huge sense of social responsibility most times, they don't really match the stereotypes media and scared mothers put out.  The only ones I don't generally like or trust are the meffed out heads, which is a considerable percentage I'll admit.

California is a huge place and people talk all sorts of ways.  People come from everywhere and there's no hard rules.  When I was travelling around it seemed like native Californians are a minority, on the road at least.

I'll never pick up a hitchhiker. I sometimes consider it, because who knows they could be like this guy Kai but I don't wanna take that chance, unfortunately I can't judge character enough from through my car window. And I'm a pussy who doesn't want head-hatched  :smilingpuppy:

I dont know what a poleseee is, but what he said was it was the sheriff not the " policy enforcers " . And I am a native californian, born here and lived here all my life. I have never hitchhiked, but I think that dude has a good head on his shoulders and if he is living in a way that makes him happy who are you to say he is inferior? I would chill with and/or pick that guy up no question
