last year's pro-bowl was LITERALLY the least inspired football performance i have EVER seen between two teams lol.

you'll see more heart and pride watching kids play touch football at recess than you will watching the pro-bowl. sucks too, cuz like 5-10 years ago it was actually a somewhat competitive game that was at least watchable. now the players treat it like a joke, and it's getting worse each and every year.

it's bullshit too. there's so many players that you only have to play like one quarter. why not give it your all and show some pride? i remember aaron rodgers was pissed last year that everyone phoned the game in. more people should be like him and actually try.

i mean it'd be really cool to see the BEST OF THE BEST NFL players actually go toe to toe for 60 minutes in a true competitive football game.

goodell has to find a way to make the pro-bowl matter again. it'd be such a badass game if everyone tried. back in the 70's and 80's people took that game VERY seriously. it was a big deal back then.

Yeah, the PB is usually pretty weak. I don't much care too much about basketball, but I do like their All Star Game. They make it interesting.

Kinda bummed Rodgers isn't starting now. He claims injury, but I have a feeling he just doesn't wanna go.

nah the nba all-star game has become bullshit as well over the past few years. they used to play a LITTLE defense...now they just let people dribble past them and dunk or throw up alley-oops all game.

and then u got dwight howard jacking up triples. it's a damn circus show, i hate the nba all-star game more than any of them.

the best all-star game is baseball, it actually plays like a normal baseball game should. you can't "not try" when it comes to hitting and pitching. you step up and play the way you always do.

true indeed. i know a lot of fans are like "hey that's not fair the all-star game decides world series home-field."

and maybe it's not, but at least it makes the all-star game more competitive. the coaches and players really do try to win that thing.

i figured out how to make the pro bowl competitive!!! lol. whichever conference wins doesn't have to play ANY preseason games the next year. the loser has to play the normal four game preseason schedule.

now THAT would get players to try!!! nfl starting players HATE the preseason.

NFL starting players hardly play at all in preseason

Preseason is really important for the other 31 guys on the squad.

a few players have promised to "be more serious" about this year's pro bowl according to this article by the associated press.

apparently peyton manning gave some big speech about how everyone should try this year or something lol. and other guys are saying similar things. i'm gonna dvr it and decide for myself. odds are this is just a bunch of bullshit to get people to watch the game. but we'll see...

if anything it has to be at least SOMEWHAT more watchable than last year's game...that thing was a tragedy.

There is one reason you can tell that the baseball all-star game is real and football, hockey, and basketball are a joke with no real defensive play. Way back when, Pete Rose was trying to score and Indians catcher Ray Fosse completely blocked the plate, Rose mowed him down so hard that Fosse was injured or ineffective for the rest of his career. Rose may have been a gambler, but he played every game as hard as he could,including exhibition games. When is the last time you've seen a player's career ruined by injury in one of these silly games.

i watched the entire thing, the NFC absolutely dominated. after the first half it was like 300 yards NFC, 33 yards AFC or something like that lol. then russell wilson came out in the 2nd half and just shredded the AFC defense, lol. NFC defense actually did a decent job too, especially against Matt Schaub.

despite being a blowout, it was DEFINITELY a much better effort from both teams compared to last year. there were actually a couple solid hits here and there, and guys were running plays around full-speed the entire time.

hell, in the beginning of the game JJ Watt had his hand busted up and it was bleeding all over the place, yet he stayed in the game the entire half. it was actually a pretty entertaining game if you ask me.
