My last one I read at a poetry reading last night backed up with a flute. Got some applause, Yours to Murdery? Well I don't judge when it comes to poetry. Its all art, an expression of your inner self your thoughts, dreams, your trips, your mind,past and present.  Only you can judge it, although I will take this off in a different direction if I can. Thanks for contributing.  I like  it

Then sit down and eat a big feast

Despite the scars that show on my face
The burn marks, black and grey, on my arms
The welts on my back still sting when I lay
As you gently rape whatever is left of my existence

As you loom before me
Like the shadow in the doorway that helps me know you are still awake
