just figured it out, and it's going pretty smooth already  It's soo cool when you finally get it and create a constant drone from your didgeridoo  :mushroom2:

Do you pack air into your gums and squeeze it out with your lips while you inhale through your nose?

i spent about a week, determined to figure out circular breathing. tried and tried to force it, then one day i was sitting on my couch just kind of drifting off from my face vibrating and realized that I was circular breathing without even trying.

It is definitly one of those things you cant think about and try. Circular breathing is quite normal, just let your body do it for you.

yes circular breathing is a fantastic skill to develop, once you can get that endless drone going the didj turns into the greatest meditation tool. have been playing for about a year now, working of doing different vocal sounds, very psychedelic instrument.

try playing two at once. especially two different keys... the frequency modulation plus the phasing creates chords and sounds you wouldn't think possible from a hollow stick.

yeah same question as above, two players or one didj on each side of the mouth?

sounds like it's worth a try, i need another stick though

i've tried playing two simultaneously.. quite hard, if not impossible. switching from one didge to the other really fast can be fun though.

pushing water out of your mouth through a straw while you sniff air through your nose is one technique that helped me to learn circular breathing.

one person. two didjes. I can do it, but it is impossible to circular breathe and do it, but you can get both of them going for atleast 30 seconds.

yes i've playd two at the same time... it's interesting but not comfrtable enough to actualy play for more then a couple of minuts.

i've playd one didje with two people simultanuasly, now THAT was interesting
it was a didje with two mouth pieces and one exit, the sound depends not only on what you make but also what your partner is making!
it was amazing but it needed alot of ettention :smirk:

once you figure out the breathing it's a whole diffrent instrument!
that's when you can realyl start learning the didje, and it takes you places you never thought it could too... have fun!
