do you dunk before first flush?

Hey, I was just wondering can you dunk before the first flush to increase the amounts of pins?

If so, how will you know when to dunk?

Dunking before first flush is just a matter of preference. If your cakes are already good and hydrated there is really no need. Some always do some never do. It probably wont hurt but its not mandatory.

Dunking a cake will not help with the pin set so no it you will not get more pins from dunking.When you dunk a cake all it dose is rehydrate the cake and you shouldn't dunk all the time only unless your cake is a bit dry or drying out but it's up to you I do hear about some people dunk after each flush but it is just a matter of preference.
