Mexico has the benefit of being our neighbor.  Nearly all the handguns used by criminals in Mexico come from the US, and a large portion of the assault rifles.

Quote:
Mr. FARLEY: Well, we don't know exactly what percentage of all the recovered guns in Mexico, where they're coming from. But, you know, a Mexican official that we spoke with said that the percentage of guns confiscated in Mexico probably is closer to the 90 percent figure than the 17. If not, fully 90 percent, probably close to that. He said that almost all of the handguns that are confiscated in Mexico come from the United States. And that amongst the assault weapons, while a good number of them are coming from the United States, they're also - that's more of a mixed bag. And they're coming, as well, through some of the drug routes in Eastern Europe and Africa.

I think we should count the all the killings of people worldwide by US made guns and compare that to other countries.  The arms industry has a vested interest in allowing killing and fear to exist.  They should be controlled as well as the end user of their products.

Yeah well going in and targetting cartels through undercover work and police tactics is a failed practice from the start.  American prohibition is the clear cause for a large number of the deaths in Mexico.  America is creating the social unrest, then selling guns to profit as well as create fear used to justify further imperialism and increased security within the US.

you cant keep blaming the worlds problems on the US, mexico is responsible for
mexico's problems. Obama/Holder had a reason for the gun walking and it wasnt
to track the cartels or to end the war on drugs. it was part of his plan to
start restricting access to guns in the US. if the US wanted to wipe out the
cartels we'd use napalm. we're funding the cartels via the state department

amazing that countries with more strict gun laws have more gun murders then a country that has less strict gun laws. If you could give me a link to those statistics I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to defend my innocence as a person without compassion who argues for the purpose of some type of mental acrobatics. Here is what I'm being accused of(by someone who isn't a forum member, as far as I know):

"Oh, it's okay Sasha. When he realizes he was offensively mistaken about my previous experience and my actual student base, he resorted to a completely different line of "logic" (something about prehistoric violence, or some other unrelated topic). Some people don't appear to have any actual emotional investment in the wellbeing of humanity. Their arguments are merely mental gymnastics for them, and comparably sophisticated with rolling around on the floor, where you're trying to explain to them to perform advanced acrobatics. "For the person who is indifferent, his or her neighbor are of no consequence. And therefore, their lives are meaningless. Their hidden or even visible anguish is of no consequence. Indifference then, reduces the other to an abstraction." - More insight from Elie Wiesel."

This is what I got for telling a college graduate who is a psychologist and apparently all his students have some morbid fear of guns because of massacres in other states, that he was wrong that guns are the cause of murder, that intent was the cause of murder. Especially funny considering this guy lives like 10 blocks from where the face eating incident occurred down here. If prisoner #1 could provide me a link showing that countries with stricter gun laws have more murders per capita then the U.S. I'd greatly appreciate it

I don't think it is a science at all.  I think it is bullshit.  My degree is a BA.  Apparently at some point they decided to consider it and the even stupider sociology a science.  They didn't change the requirements they just deemed it a science all of a sudden.
Quote:
Sure you had to take some real science classes to get that degree but the main psychology classes are a joke

I didn't have to take any of those classes.  I took them for fun.  That includes two semesters of serious Chemistry and one of biochem.  None of them were required.

How is it amazing?

It's the same reason that the Aurora shooter chose a theatre that had banned concealed carry even though the rest allowed concealed carry; or that Newtown had strict concealed carry laws.  Nobody could shoot back :themoreyouknow:

Im for locking up  and castrating the mental ill / pedophiles .

Seriously instead of giving them a pay check and a warm place to shit just lock them up throw away the key.

Its better then they would have gotten even a few hundred years ago.

Its sorta interesting this part of human history . Mike Huckabee has a point about the god thing some humans need something to fear beyond this world to keep from doing something awful ( other use the higher power to do something awful).
Or maybe they are just nuts

I grew up with firearms and the few times we were lucky enough to shoot a deer we ate it.
Please dont ban them because of some asshat.

I still dont get how some of the people who want all drugs legal dont see the firearm thing the same way.

Dont give me that bullshit that you know your dealer but do you know his or who else he sells too. All gangs are involed in the drug trade and nearly all are voilent as fuck. (this includes some of the medshops too) . If you think otherwise your dumb as fuck.
