Where can I find the Bufo Alvarius (Colorado River Toad) in Arizona?
    #17342610 -

Any Sonoran Desert folk here?

I'm thinking of taking a trip down south to see some of these critters. Maybe feed 'em some crickets from the garage.

Try the extreme southern parts of Arizona and you may have some luck.
Unless you have the resources to properly take care of the toad I would leave it alone in the wild. You would want a large aquarium with a hot and cold area and try to give it a good life.
From what I've heard and read people do not enjoy the bufotenin.

Big aquarium with a light side and a shady side. There are many possible takes on this basic model. I once knew someone who kept amphibians in a small, but air conditioned trailer.

I would pay attention to the time of day and year, when they are most active.

Canals collect a variety of aquatic life at bends and chokepoints, but gamewardens patrol them by air and ground.

Offroading is frowned upon, because the crust of the ground is assumed to be under ecological conservation. Collecting dead hardwood may result in obscene fines. Homesteaders, who could reach the groundwater by well, were said to be living on wetlands, were relocated, where water existed under bedrock, and serviced by monumental infrastructure. Cactuses, presumably in trouble areas, were embedded with RFID chips.

In the eyeball world, I'm a fairly creative person, who mainly wants to be left alone, but this neck of the woods is populated by coarse people on both sides of the law.
