Boils aren't natural biophysical structures of humans. They appear and then go away. They're presence is sometimes painful and squeezing them would be too. This is because nerve centers areactivated by many chemical messengers in and around the boil to keep you from playing with it, thus so it can get better.

Milking the glands of a toad is different. They're meant to be there and the venom comes out of those gland naturally anyway. Applying slight pressure to them will not hurt. Because no hormones or nerve centers are highly agitated as with the boil.

Besides even if it somehow in a great mysterious way did hurt... ever see the experiment where researchers had two plants connected to EEG electrodes? Had them together at first then took them to separate rooms and hacked the shit out of one? The EEG graph of th non-harmed plant went nuts. This indicates that perhaps the plants are aware of what you're doing in some way without complex nerve centers or ganglia. So if you're worried about the toad. Stop smoking marijuana or using any type of plant material, cause the plant could have been hurt too.

Weird how people can just assume a toad cannot feel
displeasure bye having unpopped glads POPPED ?Your
call i suppose as it is some peoples call to inflate toads and frogs
with straws,i suppose they dont care for the toads welfare
either.Any way until you show me proof there arent nerve
endings in the toads skin covering its glands.I'll just keep
my opinion. And as to hacking up my plants and feeling guilty.
I do oftern.

"and the venom comes out of those gland naturally anyway"

So just wait and dont squeeze the poor thing?
Or are you meaning naturaly as a defense?
I.e  if a dog bites it?Which would seem to me
as though some stress and pain is involved?

But anyway i dont mean to come across as some vegan triper.
But i think ill stick to plants and fungi for buzzes as they dont
tend to look at me with sad eyes :frown:

>>a slight pressure? i have to squeeze the shit out of the little bugger before anything happens. The poor guys eyes all close and stuff, you can tell it hurts, bad.

I don't know what you're doing, because any of the times i've done it, i did not have to squeeze terribly hard to where his eyes closed.

>>Weird how people can just assume a toad cannot feel

Glands don't pop, and aren't popped in the retrieval process, unless you block the duct opening near the gland and push on the gland at the same time.

>>So just wait and dont squeeze the poor thing?

no, what i mean is, there are natural ductile pathway in which the venom will exude out from. Like your urethra from your bladder. When you piss muscles are contracting on your bladder forcing the urine through the urethra and then out of the body. Squeezing the glands of the toad, not popping the glands is the same thing. You're just pressing the built up fluid through the ducts and out.

>>Any way until you show me proof there arent nerve
endings in the toads skin covering its glands

There are nerve endings. What i'm talking about, is your analogy to a boil is completely unrelated. Boils are closed systems with no ductile pathways unlike a toad's glandular system. The boil hurts even to touch it or apply slight pressure. This is because the nerves are activated by histimines and kinnins as a result from the boils presence. This is part of the body's auto-immune response. These histimines and kinnins and others (like substance P) are the chemical messengers that are the responsible for the feeling of pain in nerve centers. Histimines and Kinnins will not be present in large ammounts like within the boil anywhere else in undamaged skin and also in the toad.
As long as you don't cut him or squeeze his brains out, then he's fine.

>>And as to hacking up my plants and feeling guilty.
I do oftern.

Why plead the case of possibly caring about hurting a toad? Isn't that kind of a moot point if you feel guilty about hacking up plants but do it anyway?
