. Philosopher's Stones refers specifically to the species Psilocybe Tampensis which forms sclerotia, where the mycelium forms sort of rocks, which in nature is used to survive through harsh weather and then to begin growth again after harsh times have past. The sclerotia of Tampensis (& mexicana) are 3 times more potent than the fruits of the same species. However with philosopher's stones (Ps. Tampensis) sclerotia forms in jars after 6 months as opposed to Ps. Mexicana (aka teonanacatl, aka flesh of the gods) which forms sclerotia in 6 weeks in jars.
