Found new shroom, please help identify
    #1723367 - 07/17/03 12:37 AM (13 years, 9 months ago)

Ok, I found this in a pretty shallow moist ditch growing around some leaves and grass. I live in Melbourne, and it rained the day before yesterday, and I found the shroom yesterday. There were bigger ones, about 10cm in diameter measuring the cap, and about 3.5 cm in stem measureement. The texture of the shroom is pretty smooth.(The weird thing is, that it doesn't seem to have gills. It just looks like the yellow part of a sponge, and its the same color, dark yellow). But I took this small shroom instead, which is about 2.5 cm in cap diameter, and stem is about 1.5cm long. The cap is just very dark, when growing in the land. The stem is pretty much dark yellow. When I poked the shroom with a stick, anywhere on it, it immediately bruises dark blue. The mushroom is very solid, and not hollow anywhere. It's almost impossible to pearce the root bottom of the stem. Also, nearing the bottom of the stem, it just gets more fatter in diammeter, as you can hopefully see. As I don't have a digi cam, I scanned these pics :P
On the first pic, I broke of a chunk of the shroom cap. It's darker than the second pic because I broke it off yesterday. On the second pic, I broke a part off just now, and scanned immediately. The color is yellow where its ripped as you can see. and starting to bruise blue on the sides. Right now, its starting to turn greeny color, after about 5 mins of ripping, as oppesed to when I first pierced the shroom on the cap, it turned dark blue. (But that's probably because it was still fresh from the ground?)
I also noticed that there were these tiny red bugs living in the shroom, when I first broke it off.

I think that's about all I can describe it lol :P
Any answers, ideas and names of what you guys think the shroom is,
please post, it's greatly appreciated.
Thankyou very much !
