I had a jar that developed a grayish growth that later developed black spots. The mycelium grew over it, and there is still a little gray area and the area where the mycelium grew over it has some rust-coloured tinges. Anyway, On the opposite side of where the contam was, I noticed today that there is a mushroom growing there. It's a couple inches long already, heh. It's about a month and a half old half-pint pf-tek jar.
So, what should I do with it? I was keeping it in hopes that the mycelium would win out and I could maybe put it outside or something. Anway, has this happenned to anyone? Any sugestions? I thought it was kind of interesting.
