the round black one is a plastic flowerpot, the green squarish thing (coated in black tape) i found in the street. they're both about 6" across the top, and maybe 7-8" deep. i'm always looking out for thrown away casing / spawning tubs:

what i'm looking for is something opaque (pref. black) and deep enough to allow maximum substrate depth and enough headroom for big fruits that don't bang their heads (it is a little known fact that mushrooms jump up and down at night, especially if they haven't mush room) :grin:

humidity - just perlite (and sometimes i move the spawntubs into a different terrarium with no perlite at all after pinning, as casings need less humidity, supplying their own needs).

air exchange - a fishtank airpump (with all intakes carefully covered in filter, micropore tape etc.) feeds a thin airline in at the top, and there are a couple of filtered CO2 drain holes at the bottom. plus i fan once a day for about 10 seconds.

wow one little air diffuser supplies enuff air for that terrarium?
Hmmm maybe i should rethink the placement on mine..
i have a double fish pump in my chamber, but the tubing runs to teh bottem of the chamber (underwater + geolite) i figured co2 is heavier so this would be good....

its a new terrarium, so im havin a hell of a time tweekin it.....
oh well... ill get it right sooner or later....
if all else fails i can just go back to perlite + coolmist :smile:
