Damn! I was just getting ready to say something about how nice it is that enough people are using poo that we don?t have to keep telling people that shit doesn?t stink and it?s not gross at all. Then somebody just had to say something about poo being gross.... Oh well.... We are getting there.

I?m lucky my friend?s mom is even letting us grow fungus in her house.... She wouldn?t stand for a case of shit with fungus growing in it I can assure you.

I guess we all like to play with poo sometime in our lives though = )

Thats almost ready for casing Road! Looking very nice.

The poo really dont stink at all fellaz! I hear putting it in the oven makes it reek. While pasturizing it smells a little like mushroom tea in a way....

god people or person from what it looks like in this thread... you dont use fresh shit... you use old dried out nearly composted shit which is pretty much just dirt... or at least nutritive potting soil, its no grosser than potting soil... although afoaf still wears gloves hehe...

What would happen if you put that outside, in the summer? I?ll find out in a month if I?ll be spending my summer in a place with a pretty much unlimited supply of horse poop.. and I?m trying to think of a way to get some fungi to grow outside. Any ideas? Anyone done that before?

Update Day 5

The horse poo is almost fully colonized.
I think another day or so....it will be fully colonized.
I wasn?t going to case this....let it fruit right off the poo.
I have asked my mentor his opionon....waiting on his reply....lolz

Yo Road did I ever show you guys my experimental poo tray I did a while back? It worked pretty good I guess, but it sure was a bitch to collect the poo.

I talked to my mentor.....and decided not to case this one

I have another poo container with Keepers Creeper in that too.
I will case that one....as suggested by Annovator.
So we will see what is better with the poo...uncased or cased.

Nice job by the way ! I wanted to collect some horse poo as well a few days ago, but a few things went wrong (rain + horse-riding-girlfriend who became a horse-riding-ex-girlfriend). I?ll have to watch and appreciate for the moment.

can?t help but wonder what would happen if you used one of those pattys to colonize about half a bale of wheat straw hmmmm. I?ve cased with dookey but never used as a substrait hmmmmm may have to look into this further
