This is a funny thread for me to read cause out here everyone bitches when it rains, whereas you're all waiting for it & going bananas when it does. That's fucking cool.
:highfive:

Happy hunting out there folks, and be safe!

Been on two hunts since I've moved to Oregon..

First one was at the coast last weekend. I found plenty and ended up having a mushroom dinner with some lobster mushrooms, chanterelles, and Catathalasma ventricosa.

Went hunting today (in the first rain of the season here, about 2 hours inland) and came back with a few lobsters and a lone chanterelle.

I'm so excited for mushroom season to start. I seriously decided to move to the PNW because of it.

If you wanna see finds, go to the mushroom hunting section. There is a thread there on PNW findings.

I unfortunately live all the way in Gig Harbor right now, like 10 mins from Tacoma Narrows.

There's actually a treefarm near my house that some pissed off old probably racist hick own, and he literally sits in his camper with a fucking shotgun to ward off kids.

I dont mind tho, I aint scared, I'll go. As long as I'm here, death isnt. Once death is, I no longer am, so there's really nothing to fear, but I know lots of people who've picked from there over the years. I really want to go....

Oh no, I know there are places, I just dont know them or any good ones that a million people dont know about already. I'd like to go with someone who has a few spot already, but there are a lot of trails around here I can check. I just happen to know for a fact that there are some there. Cant say that about another other spot I suspect necessarily
