What was your honey:water ratio? It looks like way too much honey, and you have protein condensing at the bottom. It does look way too murky (muddy) though for honey tek.

honey should look like this... big kinda offwhite blobs... water should be light yellow...

damn, that solution is Waaaay too strong. I got major protein sedimentation at 10% by weight sugar solutions, but nothing like this....

Anyone wanna rate AFOAF's tek?

the first picture is %4- %96 tek 8 gr honey
the other pictures are %4 %96 tek 4 gr honey


the first one is a spore cc
the middle pic is a honey tek from a grain transfer
the last on is from an agar culture


the below was the only culture that is done from 10 jars is my thought.

If you swirl the water, does the protein go back into solution?  Or is the water that dirty no matter what you do. 

Yeah fugu, I think your solution is too stong... try innoculating a BRF and see what happens?

The first pic is of a contam that I got because I did a halfed ass steralization. It smelled REALLY REALLY bad, right? Throw it out.

I live near to fugu + ph_plus and we often are together...
so I know that one of those 'too strong honey-tek solutions' ( HUAUTLA)is doin' fine...
could it be through a difference between species or is it accitendally so?? ?
