I was in college around 1999. As I moved in to my dorm, i told my roommate: "Yeah man, go ahead and use the new computer, its a sweet rig". I came back a while later, he had decorated all his class notebooks with color pics he printed and drained two cartridges.

I'm actually somewhat surprised colleges still use paper.

I'd go black and white and find a cheap laser printer.

I did, /me points at his previous post.

Monochrome laser printer. I'll leave photos to online services and such. Hell, even walgreens prints image files you bring on a chip at 4x6 with real photo paper and light.
