New printer

I just bought a Pixma Canon MG 5429. I am trying to print a photo that has delicate colors.

Whenever I print this picture it will not pick up the detail in the dogs eye and instead I get a big black head. There must be some reason why?

I have Photoshop and there are lots of settings. Does anybody know why it wont bring this detail.

I figured it out.  Something in the printer or firmware, or the software you are using isn't working right.:smirk:

Oh god, those cartridges are such a rip off. Its like 20 bucks for 14mls of ink that costs them like 50 a liter.

we have a big fancy printer at work, you can tell whenever it glitches out, there are about 15 engineers standing around it pushing butttons and pointing at lights, trying to figure out why the fuck it won't work.

I am not denying that, but buying one is the only way to get a professional print. Unless I want to pay someone else do it.

is the whole photo a little darker than what you see on the screen? that would be common..did you try lightening it in photoshop before printing?
