These trays were started 4 days ago.  If you look closely at the pics you can see a VERY fine, whispy growth over the top of the straw as well as mycelium.  The question is; is it all mycelium of is the very fine stuff cobweb mold.  Thoughts?

I dont see any cobweb here, wait a day or two and if it gets significantly bigger then you will know its cobweb because cobweb expands FAST

I don't personally like to clink external links, many others don't either. If you can get a pick uploaded here I'll more than happily take a look.

Welcome to the shroomery. :poison:

My bad if I wasn't supposed to post it that way.I wanted to post a pic directly but it wouldn't let me.  Saving it into a .doc file was the only way it would let me upload.  If I'm missing something please enlighten me.

When you make a post the 4th box from the right, above the text area has a little picture of a mountain. Click that, Then you'll see a drop down box appear. Click upload. Then it will take you to a new window where you can upload a pic to shroomery and it will give you a code to paste into your post so people can see your pic.

like the others said, most people won't click external links to look at your pics.

hope that helped!

That's awesome... If there isn't a sticky on how to use tools like that for this forum there needs to be. Thank you for sharing that you should keep posting tops like that. There's so many buttons and I get into the same routine and don't learn about new tools... Awesome

Thanks Jaycr0ss!  It's pretty educational to see the responses from the others to what was an innocent mistake.

As for the topic at hand..........

I dont think it's cobweb. As said before, wait a few days. Cobweb grows ridiculously fast, and is almost a clear/grey.

I've said it before, but scales are for little girls.  Just eat the damn things.  If you get full, stop.
