For cobwebs, don't use lysol. Peroxide works. Lysol is more expensive and can have an impact like mutants.

inline filter? you can buy them from fishie stores. Not very expensive... but since you are under financial contraints, here's a design posted by Hyphea. It's the last post in the thread.

Good luck

getting rid of cobweb can be easy. mist with 50/50 peroxide and water for 2 time a day for one day. the second day mist once with the prementioned mix. then, the second treatment of the day add a small amount of baking soda to the mix. it changes the ph enough that the cobweb doesn't come back but not enough to hurt anything else. lightly mist, don't soak.

thanks man, just a few questions on my mind then

should i cut out any cobweb i DO see? or don't bother with the risk of another contam in case something unsterile.

is it alright to use silicone instead of hot glue on the film canisters?

how much is a "small" amount of baking soda. A teaspoon, or 3 a couple boxes?

this may seem tedious, but when spraying, what's considered a light mist? ---> 3-4 sprays a foot or two above the casing?

finally, from what i'm doing with everything as i explained a few posts up-a definate improvement in my mushies environment?

thanks!
