Im destined not to use headphones

So. My computer fucked up on me. Only one headphone worked. I could live with that... but now NEITHER fucking headphone works in the computer... Okay so i have a ipod. Well out of nowhere, my ipod cuts off in one ear. Now i have to twist the cord for a fucking half hour to get both headphones to work, and if i move the left one cuts off. It sucks. Its not just my headphones either, i have 3 different pairs and all 3 of them cut off.
Its really bullshit. My computer is also really quiet unless your using headphones.

get some real headphones that don't sound like they are underwater or stuck under a bridge... Skullcandy makes some awesome full head headphones, I have had mine for more than a year... they are great!

When it comes to twisting your headphones around to make them both work again, that is the port that you are plugging the headphones into, think about all the times your ipod/iphone has been in your pocket without headphones plugged in, it just leaves that little hole open to dust/grease.

I had this problem with my touch for months, I was advised to very lightly dampen a q-tip with rubbing alcohol and then ring it out/twirl around in the headphone port and voila... my ipod has worked fine since, all those earbuds I threw out were fine, but I am glad I switched to real headphones... I am going to go blast some DFA1979 through them right now!

yeh Sennheisers, i got my addias/sennheiser sports ones about 2 years ago, never had a problem.

fuckin skullcandy!! ugh i've had at least 20 of those break on me over the years. only ones i can ever afford though. im thinking i should just invest in something better but i don't want to spend 70 bucks and not even get to try them out first

Even expensive, high end IEMs will break if you're not extra nice to them.  Gotta wind them up carefully and properly, keep them in their carrying case and out of your pocket unless they have a hard case.  You'd think my Monster Golds were brand new, despite being nearly 3 years old.

my reasons for buying a $80 sports pair, i figured the sports would make them a bit more sturdy. 2 yars later not taking too much care of them they work great.
