I'm dealing with myself constantly trying to be stimulated through food, drugs, internet, tv, parties, porn, whatever.

We're all constantly trying to feel good but when you cut those things out, you crave more, feel bored, depressed.

So that's my interpretation of the problem.  Maybe you do that with games or maybe I'm just spilling out my own jive thoughts on the internet again.

alrighty well in my own experience, when I cut one of those things out, I usually go do something else that provides a high.

Lately I've been thinking about going into the woods for a bit, meditating, dealing with the negative feelings, and hopefully sensitizing myself to everything.

But that's drastic.

So my only advice to you is to find something else to fill the time or just do one of the many things you're doing, longer.  and just deal with feeling blue for a bit.

I reckon.

You just need the Homebrew Channel with Snes9x, and get yourself a Classic Controller.  The games are all over the internet, but I have most of the good ones already I could upload em' somewhere for you.  :laugh:

On a side note I feel like I've grown out out of video games. Like you never really 100% beat all the games you want to and its a huge waste of time to do so. Don't get me wrong I'll still play a good game if one comes out. but I don't have the addiction of dumping hours into games like i used to idk it lost some of its magic. But there's like a million better things to do with your time/money then 80% of the shitty game that come out daily.

Why use a Wii, doesn't each game cost about five dollars?

Just google: snes emulator
then for games: snes roms

replace snes with genesis, nes, N64, etc

Pretty much the only gaming I did for years is snes emulation on the pc. Use any controller with a usb plug and you're set 4 lYfE.

Believe me, playing them on the Wii with the Classic Controller is more fun. :laugh:

I uploaded some stuff for oojijimoo in a zip file, ROMs and VC games from my Wii SD. If anyone wants the link, I'm not keeping it up forever. :pm:

Games are a love/hate relationship for me.  I fully see the lack of value and fruitfulness, but they scratch the itch of mindless distraction and a sensation that I am accomplishing something.

I go through phases of giving up all games together, and than trying out a bunch, finding 1 that is mildly entertaining, and then geeking out on it for a month or so.


You either like them or you don't. If it's interesting play it, if you dont like it, dont.

One day I just completely lost interest in them. I was mostly into RPGs. It helped me to think of real life as an RPG.
Now IRL I go on quests, build inventory, earn monies by doing quests, beat bosses, etc.

I played games constantly when I was a kid, and loved every minute of it. Around 20 I stopped playing, only but occSionally when something cool came out thR I was interested in. Which in the recent gaming market seems to be far and in between. I'm now 21 and just generally don't have the time to play anymore. Every once and a while I will pick the Sticks up again. There is nothing like a good video game.

It wasnt the game in particular that made me lose interst in gaming. I loved that game. I just lost interest in ALL games.
I dont like computer games anymore either. I modded the shit outta morrowind but since then have not even desired to own a computer capable of gaming.
