"Video games are bad for your brain"

This makes me mad, my friend is really spiritual (as he says) and whenever I acknowledge anything about video games hes always like "they are just video games", then he tells me "they are bad for your brain". But the truth is I think they can be very useful. They give out a sense of creativity and Yes they mite be "Just Video Games" but whats the shame on pretending they are real? I mean what is real? Is there a problem with imagination? When I was a kid I used to imagine and play my own movies in my head. Video games are creative and very magical. They are an art, it disturbs me when people call video games stupid.

some video games like strategy games and RPGs can be really good for your mind! But those types of games usually take up SOOO much of your time! I don't have that much time to waste on a game...

I think Half-Life 2 has increased my physics knowledge. Before, I never knew how to underhand toss a grenade, pick it up with a gravity gun and make it the exact right arc so it intersects with someone's head as it explodes.

How could video games be bad for the brain? It's probably only the shitty, mundane video games that stress you out because they have no end and no purpose.
