The casing tray should NOT be transparent and your terrarium should be about 12-15" deep to allow for perlite, casing trays, and mushie growth. Some of mine have grown over a foot tall. You have the right approach, your execution just needs a little work. Have you tried cakes yet? I does the ego good to have success on the first try and that is the best way. And if you aren't too eager to consume, you will have prints for future experimentation.
