Best way to organize bookmarks in chrome/firefox

I have way too many bookmarks and I think it's time for me to organize them. What's the best way of doing this? Is there a program that makes it easier or do I have to do it manually or whateva?

I would guess manually.

I organize things by creating bookmark folders and keeping my daily-visit/important sites on the main toolbar. Once one of my bookmark folders gets too crowded, I'll create sub-folders inside of it to better organize the shit. I clean it out about once a month and delete the useless links I no longer need bookmarked.
