WHY do people deal so poorly with unexpected situations?

That's the difference between white people and black people. If he'd have done that to a black picnic he'd be bloodied up and the blacks would be going on trial. White people are just chill like that.

I wasn't so much thinking black ppl vs white ppl but I'd pull a gun on someone that just walked up and stole ANYTHING from me/my family/my folks.

I likely wouldn't shoot them unless they began to flee but I'd most certainly bear arms against a thief and command them to halt.

If their balls are big enough to steal AND try to run away with my goods, well then there's going to be a shooting taking place that day.

That's a little extreme. Maybe you should reconsider whether the risk reward ratio is worth going to prison over a fruit bowl. It's not even like they stole your wallet. It's just fruit.

And there's nothing tongue-in-cheek "badass" about shooting someone inciting violence against you or your property who refuses to cease when you command them to do so.  I'll admit it's a little out of the ordinary, but that's my style.  I don't take any bullshit in regards to people touching me or my property.  You can call me, my family, my child any name you want.  You can do ANYTHING in this world you want except for

a) touch me or anyone I care about nonconsensually
b) touch my property or anyone's property that I'm permitted to defend
c) threaten to touch me or anyone I care about or property belonging to either party.




Maybe the people in this thread get too many lulz from watching that french football douche physically abuse and harass people, including kicking soccer balls into their face and vehicles (causing them to crash) and are afraid of the notion that some people out there will *fuck you up* for playing games with their (your?) life.

It says that the people who had their fruit stolen are fit to survive.  They reacted to the situation well IMO.  They let the dude know, incase it was somehow a mistake/misunderstanding.  After that I'm not going to mess with someone that is going to steal $20 of food right in front of you.  Its probably a stupid prank, such as this video, but there is a chance that the dude has some mental condition or is high or w/e.  If the latter situation is true, I have no way of knowing if the person has a weapon or how they will react if I physically confront them.

Call me a pussy if you want, but IMO its just stupid to risk any physical harm or legal repercussions (seriously, shoot a dude over fruit?) over $20.  If we lived in some post apocalyptic world where food was scarce, sure I'd kill a man over it, but we don't.  $20 is ridiculously insignificant, even if you earn minimum wage.
