I dont know if you guys are in to cars much but this was a legend.  He died at 89 so you cant say he didnt get his in but it still sucks when the great ones die.

one of my favorite quote's from Shelby was when asked after taking
the AC Cobra for a test drive what his opinion of it was "that was
fucking scary as hell"

bummer..

hopefully he got to check out the 200 mph mustang before he kicked it. (if in fact the '13 does hit 200 mph)

its a bummer, i read that he had one last mission or build in mind before he died, but i cant remember what that was.

This chick I dated, her dad has an original 67 shelby cobra. I got to sit in it. When he wanted to have the car painted he took apart everything and sent just the body to this company. It was passed on in his family.


Too bad the bitch is a crazy, crazy bitch.

Funny thing is 99.99% of the people that have even heard his name don't know that he was one of.the best Race Drivers of the 50s.  Only reason he quit was he had high blood pressure that could not be controlled with the medicine of the 50s!  Then of course he naturally gore into building cars.  I mean what else are you going to do?
