Hi.. please forgive if this question has been asked.. I have searched dilligently for the answer elsewhere. Does anybody know the shelf-life of dried cubensis? What will the strength be after say one year sealed in a plastic bag in a dark drawer? Would be very grateful for some help. Thanks!

Not that good. You want the shrooms in an air tight container, with no moisture, in a cold place. YOu could grind them into a powder, put them in a canning jar, and put that in the freezer. If you use dessicant it would last even longer. There's a whole section of this site that discusses this (http://www.shroomery.org/index/par/7913 or under "mushroom info" on the menu). If you search there are a few hundred posts with other good methods too.

If they are totally cracker dry such that they snap like a cracker if you try to bend them, and if they're stored in an airtight container (baggies are not air-tight), or better yet, vacuum packed, in a freezer, I doubt you'd notice a drop in potency even a couple of years later.
The goal of storage is primarily to keep oxygen away from the mushrooms (vacuum pack), and to keep the temperature down to reduce the rate of chemical reactions so that any oxygen molecules that do end up living with them will have less chance of clobbering any of your chilli molecules.
Vacuum packers aren't as expensive as you might think. The fancy automatic ones are expensive, yes, but these are cheap and work very well:

Good luck!

I was going to make a new thread but saw this one. What if its been 2 weeks and they've been in a plastic bag? Would they have lost potency then?

2 weeks in a plastic bag is fine. you just want to avoid prolonged period in bags
*for reference, after 7 years its better to start a new threat =) Cheers*
