Found growing on a stump
    #16033398 -

Habitat:
Large stump along the edge of the woods, borders farmland. Tree species not known.

Gills:
White gills. Attached and run down the stem.

Stem:
Short, solid stems. Stems all cluster together.
Cap:
Caps are mostly flat. Some are slightly concave, some slightly convex. Cap color is mostly tan.

Spore print color:
Spore prints are pending.
Bruising:
No bruising.
Other information:
Mushroom smells woodsy/mushroomy. Smells good.

Here are some pictures. We were on horseback, riding alongside farmland (apple orchards) when we spotted this stump:

So, I'm thinking oyster. My gf was leaning toward Flammulina velutipes, but I pointed out that our mushroom gills definately attach to the stem.

Pleurotus species would be my guess.

Just for completeness, here is the spore print.


I'm not great a at describing color, but this looks (in person) like white/pink/lavender.  Sauteed a pan-full last night; they were delicious.
