We did??  Besides that one dump whenever conspirator played in breck, we didn't really get much.  It just took forever for it to melt.

i was actually out there when that snow hit. i got in like Feb 1st and on the 2nd or 3rd there was 2ft of snow dump on us. i obviously wouldnt be riding in that weather. there are buses to and from work..

ill be out there in 2 weeks too.

sorry i never got back to all we perceive. I work 6 days a week and just got an internship.

Uhm also i'm playing civ2, so yeah that takes up alot of my time.

This was a heavy snow year. The past 2 or 3 years we've slowly been getting out of drought status. For about 10 years before that we were pretty dry.

I moved here right after the new year so maybe it snowed a lot before?  Besides that three days of heavy snow in early February, we really haven't gotten much.  I hear other people talk about how it's been a pretty mild winter as well. :justdontknow:

It was my understanding that it was a pretty mild winter as well.. I have quite a few friends in Denver/Boulder already. I think they were saying that the mountains were getting hammered but the city was nothing (or not much anyway).

Frith......this Chicago winter was a fluke I've been here for 3 the last 2 before this one were insane.

As for the vstrom, its not a bad bike but a suzuki bandit is a much better bike imo I have had 3 an rode them year round at an average of 20k a year. The motors last forever they are a super comfy ride an you can get a 1200 used for around 3-5k and a 650 used for 1500-3000. Should look into em. Plus they have lots of torque.

In my opinion this is definitely not a mild winter. There was snow on the ground in Christmas, which hadn't happened for awhile, record snowfall in February (and that's not referring to the mountains), and a few inches every week or so.  I've lived in Colorado my entire life, so almost 30 years now. This hasn't been mild. :grin:

But anyway, welcome Frith!  Maybe all us Coloradoans should finally get that gathering planned like we've mentioned for years now.

there was a lot of snow in denver but people are saying its a mild winter cause vail, breck, keystone etc. didnt get good snow

no bikes only

the winters around denver are more the wind than the temps that get bad, id recoomend a jeep for off roading in the mountains

I'd probably be down for the Bandit but I want something that can do some trail riding. I'd like to get something I can ride both on and off road.. take it camping or whatever.

Definitely don't want anything as big as a 1200.. even the VStrom 1000 is a little big. I have no need for that much bike.
