well thank you guys for the advice so far.  its not my second traffiking, just my second weed offense.
It's not a clerical error as i've already had my arraignment.
I was hoping for this, but no.

I probably can't take out a loan because of not paying back
student loans at all.  i'm going to talk to one tomorrow that
i have heard is good for working with financially disadvanted people
(my broke ass)
  its pretty hard to get a job here, i just got fired
from my work of 2 years because i called in twice in six months

I really dont want to go down for helping close friends get
delicious things they can't usually find.
  especially with thepast
that i have with the suspected ci.. You wouldnt believe
the damn troubles this person has caused in my life.
..ill elaborate if anyone wants...
I feel more like a statistic and less of an individual .

get a public defender dont waste your money on a layer. you will be fine. i have been going though the court system for 8 years now and have been arrested 25 times. you dont always need a lawyer. the pd will support your case just fine. a real layer will only be just a tad better...

Shwell, update.

I DID get a lawyer, he was... okay I guess.

For being a rather intelligent person, I do make some dumb decisions.

I ended up getting my bond revoked and a continuance for my trial. 

I RAN once outside the courthouse, only to be caught an hour later.  I hopped fences and ducked and dodged and nearly got tazed and finally gave up.

got 4 months county time and 4 years probation. 

Now I'm out and on probation.  No more weed smoking for me! 

I guess the shitty parts of probation are I can't leave state for festivals, No smoking buds, and I have shit to pay to the state.

I guess I got off pretty good, I got a Felony escape charge and a Felony delivery charge, and they have a first offender act in my state where you get probation and a clean slate once you are off probation.  So, no prison, just jail.

I made plenty of really trippy drawings that I'll be uploading soon. 

All in all, I'm glad to just have all this shit behind me.

Yes confirmed who the narc was. 

She also busted about 5 other people I know and now busts people for money.

a foaf hung out with her recently and supposedly she now wears a wire on someone to buy buds, then takes the money she gets for being a CI and buys buds for her. 
Karma storm will be comin her way.
I also saw her car recently and she has placed a license plate on the front that says "blessed" ... geeez bitch.


I live in the south... My state's voting for medijuana next month.

Man, my public attorney has helped me with my DUI case fighting it for 5 months and got my paraphernalia and open container charge dropped and help reduce my DUI to reckless driving. It helped that the cops case was shit to begin with, that I got pulled over for mismatching registration and not bad driving, plus other factors, but it also helped that she was a public attorney--someone who is in the same court room all the time, knows the city lawyer and the judge very well. TV and movies give them a bad rap, but I'd take someone who knows the people and deals with the same kind of cases all the time over someone who's after your wallet.

Oh, and she's currently trying to help me get my money back from when the cops impounded my car. That's $800 fucking dollars the city robbed me of. I got pulled over on fucking private property. I was in my friends driveway. Fucking swine.

The best lawyers are of course those that were first public attorneys now private practice. The very best are city prosecutors turned criminal defense.

Wow, read this entire thread, pretty crazy story.  I can just picture some dude fleeing from the courtroom, but it's understandable.  Courtrooms can fill you up with a lot of anxiety.  Shitty that you had to waste 4 months and spend another 4 years with constant (hopefully not too constant) interference from po's.  Congrats on making it through.  And that is ridiculous that this was all because of a half ounce of cannabis.  I was thinking of another Grateful Dead song to sum up your experience.  Truckin ("set up like a bowling pin")

If you live in the states, you are eligible for a state appointed attorney based on the fact you don't have any income.  The courthouse should have papers or something for you to fill out.

Sorry to hear about the CI man.  Dealt with that before.  It became rule that whenever something happened, you talk about normal stuff.  You never say anything.
