okay, i am glad you mentioned GH. very easy route to go! you also don't need the 3 part system if you use the Lucas Formula (which is GREAT), you won't need the Gro, just the Micro and the Bloom which will cut down on your costs of an already reasonably priced product which also happens to be a wonderful product.

i think it really has more to do with the genetics you're using than the nutrients you're using. if it works for you then you should definitely do it, but for someone with little grow experience probably should fuck around with them. i do like the ChaChing, but fuck me is it pricey.

i do not breed. i've only been growing indoor for a little less than 2 years now and before that i did outdoor for 2. i have done quite a few runs indoor since i started though as well as simultaneous outdoor grows.

Very nice, never had a chance to do outdoor, ive been doing indoor for the last 4 years. I started a breeding project quite out of accident, had a white widow female go hermaphrodite and pollinate my entire tent. Took the seeds from a DJ Short Blueberry in the tent and grew them out with more of the same white widows til i found good genetics on both sides and forced the white widow to herm and pollinated the Blueberry again as well as taking clones. After doing his a couple times i wound up with a really nice Blue Widow plant. It wound up with the blueberry plant structure, the white widows resin production, and a sweet, spicy, berry smell and taste.

that sounds lovely. i love DJ Short's BB, such a wonderful strain to grow, super resilient no matter how much its stressed (had some issues with my first indoor grow which then became an outdoor grow to great success). your Blue Widow sounds delicious.

(that shed is 16'x8'x8' just to give you an idea of how big that plant is. got a little over 3lbs off her)

I guess ill be going with the lucas formula, but a lot is still unclear to me about when to add the nutrients and whatnot. Time to do a little more research.

i've never done autos. i would say about week 2-3 is when you would start since the soil has fertilizers in it already and you don't want to burn your babies. use until 2 weeks before you harvest, during those 2 weeks you're going to want to flush the hell out of them with straight water for a good, clean final product. i like to add blackstrap molasses the last couple weeks of flower as well, helps bring out the flavour of the bud and will swell resin glands a bit since you should have cut off their food at this point and they'll be using the sugars from the molasses instead. but General Hydroponics has feed charts on their site, you should look there first.

also remember that a slow dry and a long cure is best: 7-10 days and then cure for at least 2 weeks for the best results. the slow dry with make the smoke smooth (as will the flush) and the cure will enhance flavour and aroma.

alright, thanks for the info. I'll probably start adding nutes in after 4 weeks. Use them for 4 weeks. Then start flushing a few days after the last nutes have been given.. hows that sound considering these little miracles grow in 9-11 weeks.

i would start feeding at week three feed for 4-6 weeks and then flush for at least a week, but it all depends on how done they are come the "9-11" week mark. get a decent jeweler's loupe or pocket microscope (something like this that is 60X-100X) so you can look at the trichromes towards the end of flower. i usually like mine to be ~80% cloudy ~10% clear and ~10% amber. really start checking them around week 8 so you can get an idea of their progress. you can let them go more amber to increase bud density a bit but you really have to be careful not to let it go too long; remember that cloudy trichromes are at peak maturity (clear is immature while amber is starting to degrade) and they will continue to develop even after harvest during the drying process.

but yeah, overall i think that sounds good.

Ok so how would I add blackstrap molassas? After I flush, during, or before? I was thinking cut off its water and during those three days use it once daily? I'm not sure tho

Ok so i've changed strains, i ordered some Biodiesel mass autoflowering seeds. And they came with one Northern lights x big bud feminized seed and 2 big bud #2 regular seeds.
Anyways, I was wondering if there were any veg and bloom nutrients that would work at home depot. Using like 1/2 of recommended measurements on the bottle maybe?

Alright so i've decided to buy a 4x4x6.5 ft grow tent. I'll be using a 400w light and was wondering if all i needed was some 6in duct, a 6in inline duct fan for exhaust and that be it. I dont need stealth so i dont really need a carbon filter. And for intake i can just use a little clip fan or two inside right? And should the exhaust fan be inside or outside of the tent?

I have the same size tent that i use with a 600w HPS. I have a cooltube hood. So i have a fan blowing through the hood into a duct leading out of the tent and into a carbon filter, then i have another inline pulling air in to the tent through the ducting and another carbon filter to keep any bugs/mites out.
