brain glitches from tripping

if i hear a song on the radio but the radio is far away my mind tries to fill in the blank with what song i think it is, i think i'll hear a song playing faintly and i'll get closer to the radio only to discover that it's a differnet song playing than what i thought

so my mind overassociates background sounds and shit with the song im expecting

and i think i hear my name on the tv sometimes obviously i know the tv isn't trying to send me secret messages or anything but if the tv is too far away from me to hear i sometmes faintly hear my name cuz people call my name all the time so my mind over-associates the sound of my name cuz it expects my name bein called


this one kid always says "so what do you wanna do" when we hang out and we stop talking for a little and one time we stopped talking for a little and my mind expects him to say "so what do you wanna do" and i thought he said it but i looked over to him for a second and i realized he didn't say it and it was just my mind picking up background noise and it sounded like he said it very faintly but yeah i realized it was just my mind over-associating what it expects


this is worse when im high on weed but i dont really smoke weed much anymore but ill be driving and therell be a puddle on the road and ill think that its a big hole in the road for a second or like i think ill think i see a person walking on the side of the road and i'll look and it will just be a telephone pole cuz my mind expects a person to be there and overassociates shit and


one time in class in silence i thought i heard someone say "hippie" out loud to me cuz of my long hair but i realized it was just my mind overassociating shit

sometimes i think my sisters are whispering about me in the other room but then i look and realize they are'nt cuz their body language says differently and my mind overassocaites what i expect

but yeah so my mind has these glitches, you can call it schizotypal you can call it the slight aftereffects from tripping you can call it over-associating what i expect you can call it whatever you want but i dont really notice it for the most part and yeah

do you guys get brain glitches like this from trippin too?

yea i dont think i have schizotypal actuually i just thought that's what this was called


but idk i just have these like illusions i notice like glitches in the mathematical abstract portions of my brain that stem from over-association with whatever it is that i'm looking for




i dont feel like puttin a label on it and it seems to be gettin better even with tripping semi-frequently like my mind is becoming less selfish and accepts whatever possibilities and isn't looking as hard for stuff

I get this soo much. I didn't think it was from tripping, I got it when I started smoking weed so I assumed it was that (and also when I'm stoned it happens all the time)

I am relatively young and don't think I have significant hearing loss, but I commonly experience musical auditory hallucinations. They differ from simply "having a song stuck in your head" because of how realistic and textured they can be. I'll hear a full orchestra with phenomenal production repeating short phrases. The dynamics and tonal qualities of a single phrase change and it can become overwhelming at times when I can't get it to stop, but most of the time it's interesting.

Musical Ear

I am a musician, and I attribute it to my brain just trying to create its own stimuli when I'm not giving it any. However, smoking weed makes me flip shit and have panic attacks, partly for the reason I begin to uncontrollably "hear" things. Strangely, it has never been a problem on psychedelics.

i have no problem with any of these brain glitches i was simply describing the phenomena i experience. they are very slight and i don't even notice them or think about them for the most part, they dont bring me any anxiety or anything.

yeah i can control it mostly it's very slight and not very noticeable used to be way worse but surprisingly it seems like tripping has made it better or perhaps thats just cuz i cut down on weed or something idk

Someday it may glitch out so bad you'll have a seizure.

I cant eat more than two hits anymore without misfiring and possibly going into one.

I get that kind of shit too, I work in a noisy environment so i'll often think someone is calling my name or that my phone is ringing when it's in fact just random noise.

I'm also going a bit dyslexic, I'll want to say fork but I only have spoon in my mind, it can take some seconds till I finally say fork, making me look like a retard.

I blame it on the alcohol tho.

I used to have that a lot and every so often it'll still happen to me. I've come to realize though, as stated above somewhere, that I'm in control of my mind, not the other way around. I started not being so bothered by it and, rather, every time it would happen I'd almost laugh it off and keep in mind that it's just my imagination. :lol: I think a lot of it came from my paranoia issues; the second I stopped being paranoid and took control of my life, it happens so very rarely.

I have those same things happen to me all the time.

Also the fucking premonitions drive me crazy! I definitely notice it more when I've been using psychedelics within the last couple weeks.

I'll hear the phone ring, then I go to answer it, it won't be ringing, then I put it down and it rings. lol

I'll be mid conversation with somebody for a long time, like say a long car ride or something and after a bit of silence I'll say "what?" at the same exact time he starts saying "hey". Things like that.
Sometimes I'll be talking with somebody and I'll start thinking in my head exactly what they'll say immediately afterward, almost like an echo. It gets very distracting... Granted this can be attributed to simple perception and knowing how a person talks, but it still seems weird and I don't seem to do it as often if say I take a year off psychedelics.

De-ja-vu's like a motherfucker. Mostly when I'm sleeping, always stupid inconsequential stuff... But sometime's things that happen years and years later. Many times it's so shocking I'll lose track of what I'm saying because I'm so amazed I somehow fell into that spot years and years after dreaming/thinking about it. Wish it were lotto numbers or something good... lol
