Let me clue you in a bit - European colonization didn't have to do with race, it had to do with power and wealth. The European leaders didn't colonize Africa because they were white, they colonized because there was wealth and power to be had. The same goes for when Mid-East nations invaded Africa before Europe did. They didnt invade because of their Arab race, they invaded for wealth and power. The same thing goes for the inter-African invasions. They didn't invade each other because they were black, they invaded each other for wealth and power.

Thats why when you say the white man raped africa, you are a racist. It has nothing to do with them being white. The same goes if I say that black men rape women - while true, its still a racist comment because it implies that being black had something to do with the rape.

but seriously your both right.

at least when the Europeans invaded Africa they poured money and resources into their new states hoping for a return on their investment. which they got many times over. this is already more than what we can say about the usa's pathetic attempt at imperialism. unfortunately for Africa when imperialism went out of style (hence Americas unspoken imperialism) and the Europeans stopped governing we all found out that the Europeans had propped up single tribes to govern among many different ethnicity's causing an imbalance of power which often resulted in civil war.

imo it's not what Europeans did to African nations which was bad, in fact much of it was very good but instead how they left these multi-ethnic states which caused catastrophe. it didn't help that the Europeans told the Africans to farm only one crop to sell to international markets when the markets were about to crash. it should have been no surprise that these multi-ethnic, mono-crop farming, emerging democracies fell into anarchy.

this is what we will find happens in Americas attempt at imperialism in the middle east, only without the return on investment and mono-cropping. this might sound like the ignorant rantings of an anti-Americanist but i assure you i am not one to take the easy way out when it comes to American foreign policy and blame "stupid Americans" as many people in my country do. America has and does have a lot to offer the world.

i don't think the state of affairs in Africa is anyone's fault because when you get so many people together on one small planet we become a blind force like the rest of nature but in spite of this i have faith that Africa will get it's shit together and eventually become the prosperous continent that the African people deserve.

"The white man" is not a race, by the way. "The white man" is a group of people, not all of whom are necessarily white nor men. It was DieCommie, not I, who turned this into a discussion about race.

Actually I brought race up first

In my opinion all people are racist and/or bigoted to varying degrees. A common example here in America would be a christian condemning racism against black Americans, but deep down they would not be accepting of their children marrying or procreating with an Arab or an Indian. Especially if said person was affiliated with Hinduism or Islam.

And yet everyone knows what someone means when they refer to an ethnic group as a race. Nitpicking irrelevant points generally means you either don't know what you're talking about, or that you don't have very strong arguments

People need to stop blaming other people for their problems. Everyone's ancestors were suppressed, enslaved, or persecuted at some point in history. Africans coping out on the white man it's complete bullshit. Africa owns Africa's problems

I believe all people deserve equal rights, and equal protection of the law regardless of race, color, creed, or national origin.

Don't bother accusing me of racism, because I'm telling you I am guilty of it to my own degree. I always respect people's civil rights, and growing up in the melting pot of America have meet good people of all origins

Causation, of any kind, is false. More whiffs here.

Your character judgement falls flat on me. I don't even know what "white" is. Race, as an idea, has no objective tenants. I don't believe in it. But I do like to say Whitey raped Africa, it starts nice discussions like this one.

You say it is true black men rape white women? That is not a statement I would label as true or false. It's cave talk. It's not even false, its meaningless.
