My personal opinion why the cartel is getting so bad in Mexico

Americas war on drugs, i mean think about it. Put yourself in the shoes of a member the cartel who fund huge million dollar pot grows in the south Cali Mountains and shit. DEA comes in and destroys 10k-20k Plants, that is a lot of money and now that person has to go to new levels and new extremes to recover the money they lost. If you lost a Mil or so overnight, would you not be raging? And would you not do whatever you could to make that money back, no matter how shitty? I'm not saying everyone because not everyone can relate to that mindset but if you really think about it. The DEA seizes their drugs and costs them millions, so now they have to work extra hard to make their money. Which in turn leads to more extreme actions and doing more fucked up shit than you usually would. IDK, but i know there are plenty of people who agree that our "war on drugs" is the biggest bullshit waste of money and resources that the U.S ever put into play. It does so much more harm than good.
I'm not justifying any of the Cartels actions but i can see why they are getting so pissy, because I would be to.
I wanna go Ed Wuncler III and start kicking in doors when assholes steal cuttings from my 9 foot bridgesii i put outside in summertime. And that's not even twenty dollars worth, its just respect. Southern California once belonged to Mexico along with TX, AZ and New Mexico and we just ganked that shit.

I guess i ranted a little bit but i have nothing better to do, so there is my 2 cents, anyone else wanna throw some change in the pot?:shocked:

Through his friend and fellow empire dreamer, Secretary of War Jefferson Davis. Gadsden was appointed U.S. Minister to Mexico by President Franklin Pierce with instructions of his own design to buy from Mexico enough territory for a railroad to the Gulf of California. It was a perfect setup. By the treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo, signed February 2, 1848, at the close of the Mexican War, the Republic of Mexico was compelled to abandon its claim to Texas and to cede to the United States the territory now comprising most of New Mexico, Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah and Nevada. The territory ceded to the United States by Mexico constituted about 200,000 square miles or two-fifths of all her territory. In return for this vast territory, the United States gave $15,000,000 and assumed responsibility for paying $3,000,000 in claims of American citizens against the Mexican Government. A large body of public opinion in the United States had opposed the war against Mexico and felt that the Southern republic had been treated badly. The territory desired by Gadsden and his group was then a sort of no man's land, experiencing frequent Indian raids. The United States wanted to make certain "boundary adjustments"; Mexico needed money and wanted a settlement of her Indian claims against the United States; and Gadsden and his friends wanted a route for their railroad. In 1852 Gadsden agreed to pay Santa Anna $10,000,000 for a strip of territory south of the Gila River and lying in what is now southwestern New Mexico and southern Arizona. Many Americans were not especially proud of the Guadalupe-Hidalgo Treaty and considered the price of the Gadsden Purchase as "conscience money." The Gadsden Purchase has an area of 45,535 square miles and is almost as large as Pennsylvania.

This tract of nearly 30,000,000 acres cost Uncle Sam about thirty-three cents an acre.



The deal was so unpopular in Mexico that Santa Anna was unseated as dictator and banished. Gadsden was recalled as Minister to Mexico for mixing in Mexican politics and domestic affairs and did not live to see the Southern Pacific Railroad built through his purchase. When the inhabitants of Arizona asked Congress for a Territorial government in 1854, one of the names suggested for the new Territory was Gadsonia, a Latin adaptation of the surname of James Gadsden.

well.. of what you are saying (that they have to work harder now, that the dea took their place and shit...) you are like 5% right.. cause all the people that are in the states and they catch them, usa does not deport them, they go to jail!! lets say they dont catch them.. anyways they would still stay in the states, because for a lot of people is a big thing going to the states to work and send money to their family in mexico... (the poor people) and well the other 95% or not even.. cause there are a lot of cases with this cartel people, but must of them are into this because of the money.. they make really good money, and if they have been all their life being really poor and having nothing and eating the same shit everyday.. (they are living hell) so whatever else they can do to have good money, they will do it for sure!! other people in the cartel are just crazy motherfuckers that found their crazy family in the cartel and like that many different reasons.. if you can, watch a movie called "El Infierno" its a mexican movie, one of my favorites and it tells they situation in Mexico right now, like how hardcore it is in the north..
Im not just inventing things up.. im telling you this cause im from Mexico and i know a lot of this people..  although i know them, doesnt mean i am like them, if someone fucks me up i he will pay it double but if no one fucks with me i am pretty chill and peace person. cheers!!

Thanks Prisoner for clarifying things for me, like i said this was just a random thought i had and i wasnt 100% on the details, it was just an idea. :yourock:

and lusifer, 3 of my closest friends are from Morelia and i know quite a bit about the state of things down there, as ive visited them on multiple occasions, im not saying your wrong or disagreeing with you. I didnt intend for this to be a thing to take sides on, more so just a discussion and i appreciate your input. But my main point was why the Mafia has been acting up and i personally believe it is the united states fault. Like i said, i just want some change in the pot :ooo:
I dont want this to turn into fire and brimstone and a bunch of condescending flaming comments, i promote the peace and harmony man :cactuar:
Good vibes to everyone, and i really hope things do clear up in Mexico because my friends are kind of afraid to go back because of the violence, and they arent the fun loving peace goers that i am. They dont mess around when it comes to friends and family and they are my family from different blood, and they feel the same. :sun:

I tend to talk out my ass, and im not going to argue a point that i am not 100% positive on. This is a matter of opinion imho(lol)

It used to not be as bad before Calderon put the army in the streets, now they can't do their business as usual and it's getting ugly

TL;DR but yeah this is obviously what is causing the black market to exist. You legalize pot, methamphetamine and cocaine, you take away the cartels' business. Oh, and legalize opiates and you deprive al-Qaeda of its revenue. If you clamp down on them, it only drives up the cost of the drugs while forcing the traffickers to militarize, buy bigger guns, build submarines, etc. Recipe for destruction.

Prohibition just doesn't work in general and we need to get over the idea that it's right for some drugs but wrong for others... it's always stupid, it's always wrong.

The Mexican drug cartel is fucking crazy.

Honestly, for the safety of... well... everyone. We need to just legalize Weed.

Mexicans don't give a fuck. They are THE MOST dangerous drug cartel out there. Hands down.

One of their signature moves after a gang fight, and they've killed their competition ( Literally kill them ) is they slit your throat, and pull your tongue through the hole in your neck.

And that couple of journalists who blogged against them, and got hung on a bridge over an interstate..

It's getting bad, because these mo fo's are serious.

In America if we pull out a gun everyone starts running. In Mexico, they pull out bigger guns, or more family, and destroy everything you know.

While I do agree to legalize all Drugs, I also know that as a system we need to "Test the waters" so to say. Our government isn't going to wake up one day and say "ALL DRUGS LEGAL"

We are making progress with the weed movement, and that needs to complete first. Then we need to move onto the rest.

They pretty much plan for a percentage of their product to get seized.  I don't think it makes them do any more evil things than they're already doing..

I would blame the government for this war on drugs, just not in the way OP described.

i bet you guys dont know this.. since the cartel does not give a shit of other people (people not involved in drugs or ilegal shit) like normal citizens, they dont give a fuck and open fire in the middle of a mall or where ever... so they have killed a big number of inocent people... there are several cartels, but one of the most recognized is Los Zetas.

For example (im inventing this) cause it didnt happen to me but this is true.. for example they killed my brother of mine and he was just a normal person, well i get so mad at los zetas that i creat a group of people that they have been victims of them and killed a family member, so we create a group that we go kill zetas (like the goverment side) but not for the goverment just to fucking kill them cause they are a piece of shit.. so they even put masks and videotape themselves, saying we are called los mata zetas (the asesins of zetas), we are not here to  provide more panic or to kill and rob people, we are here to do what the goverment doesnt do.. we are here to make a better country, we wont kill or end with the whole cartel but at least give to some what they deserve... etc etc... they even came out in television with the video they did themselves, its like a big thing this guys, obviously with masks and changed voice.. anyway i think this guys have big motherfucking balls!! actually if you put on youtube los mata zetas you'll see whats up.. in the north they blocked a street with about 20 dead persons (zetas) to show the people that they are working.. anyway just putting some info from here, what you might not see over there.. peace!
