So how are you going with this RVW? Are you a writer yet? Have you attempted to have your work published at all? Im assuming you mean you wanna be a writer of fiction right?

Im interested to know how you're approaching this.

Wow, I posted this a while ago

Some of what I write is just rambling nonsense that helps me sort my thoughts out but that I also go back and look at and find some golden stuff that I'll take out and put in my "Big Book" notebook. I have bits and pieces put together but well over 90% of the flow has yet to be established. Not completely fiction, alot is based on my childhood, some based on events after highschool, some present day, most put through "fiction goggles", mixed in with straight up fiction. Ever since I read "The Dharma Bums" Jack Kerouac has been by far one of my favorite authors and a huge inspiration to me... Especially since I often find myself sitting down on amphs (I get 600mg of dextroamphetamine a month with my dexedrine prescription) and continually typing for up to 24 hours with only a few piss breaks and that is supposedly how he "wrote" On The Road...

Alot is based on my childhood, beginning with my faintest memories when I was 3-4 and lived in Memphis, all through growing up with only hay fields and woods behind me from the time I was 4 until present day. (I'll be 23 in April)

My childhood was an extraordinarily happy time in my life (for all the time I wasn't around my Dad when his doctor still prescribed him Prednisone; I hid in my room and didn't make a sound at those times, but that was only a few years) and most of the things I write about.  I'm planning on developing it to tell of the character's life from birth to death and possibly afterdeath. Nothing I'm taking too seriously right now, just something I'm playing with.

I've considered looking into glassblowing myself, that and welding. If things don't go well at the community college this spring I'll prob just take up a trade like that. I hate school with a passion, and despite going in excited and confident (haven't really been since 2007 till this fall) my sheer hatred for school together with the 2 hour trip there every fucking day has made me re-think that approach to life...

If I set my mind to it and know something about what I'm writing about, or if I can spend some time researching it first, I can write an A paper in thirty minutes to an hour.  I hated writing them but I kicked ass at it _{(not trying to sound cocky)} and always had people accusing me of cheating but I REALLY didn't! A professor stopped me after class asking who tought me in highschool, and I told him. A little old woman we called a vampire who was old when the school was founded in the 60's and tought most of my friend's parents and knew their PARENTS' parents when they were young too. I swear that bitch is a zombie or something.. _{(cheapest private school in TN too, kawinkeedink?)} and his exact words were: "Ah, I knew it!

So all throughout elementary school and junior high I never could understand the fact that many kids actually FAIL English tests.  Highschool was similar, making a C+ grade on my "Senior Term Paper" despite only making about 15 of the mandatory 100 outline cards or whatever they called them _{(Not keen on language terminology)} and didn't hand in anything except half of a rough draft that I spent 15 minutes scribbling down.  85% baby! 

Then I passed English Comp I&II in college; the ONLY classes out of 10 that I didn't fail because of turning in finals blank. After taking many bars and drinking Poppy Pod tea, of course!  I drank that pod tea, somewhere around 10 pods a glass, alllll day evvvvery day.  It was very nice! Until I got found out...

On the fact that I always easily ace any writing assignment that I apply myself to, on the fact that my grandmother started teaching me how to read and write when I was three years old, on the fact that I scored 31 on the English section of the ACT in highschool... (For what that's worth ) It really doesn't matter to me if you or anyone else thinks I'm a great writer or not, and actually refuse to let anyone read the stuff I'm talking about because I'm the type that has to make everything perfect before presenting something I'm to be proud of. If I even show it to anybody and they like it then cool, if not then they can make their criticism and move on... No skin off my back.

I'm not saying I'm going to become some great successful author. I'm doing it just do it at this point. If it develops into something then that will be wonderful, but in the meantime my writing is just a hobby.
