Yeah, that's the truth. This is the 2nd funeral in 6 months I've been to for people I knew personally in NA. I've heard of a couple more that I didn't know too.

It's just the nature of addiction. People go back out, people die (although this one was as a result of him going back out and using), I've even heard of people with 10+ years going back out and end up killing others in drug or alcohol related car wrecks.

One guy I knew when I used to go to meetings in early 2009 went back out after 3 years clean and ended up running over a 14 year old girl and killing her right in front of her mother after getting drunk, coked up and stoned. He was going just down the street about 2 miles to get some cigarettes. He's still in jail.
