Those places are most likely real, just I didn't see any button to purchase. Why is it in English though? Not legal in the US at all. I think I'll travel to China and smuggle them via ship lol.

Straight off of Wikipedia and they even had a picture of it growing.

So what is this again about the DEA having this on lock down ?

Ergotamine tartrate is not schedule 1.  It isn't scheduled.  It is a DEA List 1 precursor, which is very different then being scheduled, which also doesn't effect availability by doctor's prescription.

Thanks for correcting me, I didn't know. But it's harder to get ergot tartrate than oxycontin I know that.

They have ergot tartrate on lockdown. Same way you can get poppies and produce opium, yet a bag of morphine is illegal to have.

Chinacat answered this question in one of his threads. IIRC, he said that the Grateful Dead family does not get their ergot from rye but rather from foreign sources (eastern Europe most likely). That being said, there is more than one lsd production lab. I don't know how others do it.

Ergot itself can't really be illegal, it's natural. Ergot tartrate is a medication derived from ergot, understand? Ergot tartrate is illegal to own without a prescription. Poppies can't really be illegal, it's a flower, it's natural. Opium/ morphine (which is refined) is illegal to own outside a hospital. Get it? Both natural, but when refined and turned into medication, you can't have it.

You have missed my whole point. It does not matter!

If it is illegal, SOMEONE has got it for you. SOMEWHERE. Its there, and someone will sell it too you.

You can't stop illegal drug brah. Your sitting there with problems finding LSD... a lot of us are happily eating LSD w/o a problem :grin:

I get what your saying, there's always someone willing to sell anything or do anything for the right price. But that's not why I started this topic, I started it asking why put your ass on the line obtainig Ergot Tartrate when you can probably harvest ergot in a rye field, and if chemists are using that method. I already know people sell all kinds of stuff.

I'd say it wouldn't be that hard to order from foreign sources, maybe get multiple packages delivered to different addresses, in case a few don't get through. I don't think that's much of a problem though. I really doubt Ergot Tartrate is something commonly looked for in customs and I doubt dogs can detect it, so how would they find it? I don't know  the ratio of how much ergot yields what LSD but getting a good amount can't be that hard. I'm sure they're watching Meth and MDMA precursors more closely as it's more common and much easier. My:2cents:

hmmm....well, don't you think it would be A LOT easier to illegally obtain tartate than grow a freakin' field of ergot?!

I really doubt chemists are using that method at all. If you were to eat rotted ergot, you would not only trip but undergo intense, sometimes deadly physical reactions. You would have to go threw the WHOLE process of growing an insane amount of ergot. Then, you would have to go through another INSANE process of "cleaning up" and extracting what you need out of the ergot.

Or you could buy it from a shady lab in china / eastern Europe.

completely false. 

the closest things which are scheduled are: Lysergic acid and Lysergic acid amide, both schedule III.

it seems that ergot tartrate or Ergotamine are unscheduled.  Not to say that the DEA wouldn't be paying attention if you ordered a couple kilos but it does not seem that you could be arrested for that alone...

Yeah, I seriously doubt that customs look for Ergot Tartrate, but IF they do find it, it's serious and they'll track the destination point and the DEA will knock on your door. I hope LSD production in Europe only goes up from here, LSD itself is SO easy to smuggle.

and to your original question....i think you would draw more attention to yourself if you were raising fields of rye for the ergot....

people/neighbors in farming communities would certainly notice and report the fact that you were doing something sketchy...
