is there anyone here familiar with the ways of leuthyi flower buds? {colour of bud before opening}? i have some pix of a suspected bud...
look for the tiny sprout near the centre of the pix.


and also my grahamii is going pink from the base up {no pix yet}
anyone know if this is likely to be sunburn or a watering issue?

I dont know what the color should be, but it definitely looks like a flower bud.

sweeet , i thought it was rare for grafted cacti to flower ?
i was concerned this graft was a botch job as its my first and i removed the bands after 4 days {from what i recall}
any thoughts on the pink grahamii body?

Actually, it's more common as the rootstock has loads of energy and it has to pour into something. In this case, it would be your scion.

Grafting is often done to turn certain cacti into seed factories, in fact.
