One of the best parts about San Andreas was all of the countryside and desert travel.  GTA IV was such a complete letdown in terms of how all three cities were indistinguishable from one another and it was way too difficult to actually learn the map well.  I guess that's why they included the GPS which added and subtracted from the game at the same time.
From what I'm seeing, this game is going to be a strong contender for best GTA.  It'll be tough to wrangle that away from San Andreas IMO but it looks like they're possibly even hybridizing the best aspects of SA and IV, with even some Vice City thrown in apparently.
I want to fly aircraft again!

This looks alright, not got high expectations though.. Gta 4 was a disappointment and pretty much anything after vice city (i mean come on, a gta based around scarface? can't top that).

Also on a side note, i'm pretty sure this thread belongs in the gaming grotto? I'm not sure but just saying :smile:

I thought GTA IV was pretty sick personally,

I'm sure this could go in the gaming grotto... but the pub gets way more traffic, I don't even go there - right now it'd probably have 1 reply and still be the first thread hahaha.

well. yeah! San andreas was cool on but i felt like all the customization options was abit ott.

After playing Vice City i just felt like no character will ever exceed Tommy Vercetti's old school bad ass style...

Although equally big smoke is defo the funniest character to ever exist in gta :P

Great now someone else is talking about Vice City.
Next thing you know after beating San Andreas in my current new play though I will have to go back and play Vice City now and drown every time I look at water..
I guess after that I will have to buckle down and finally beat GTA 4.

Everyone tells me stink and ask if I wear diapers.

Hmm I didn't think there were enough customization options in San Andreas.  I wanted more tattoos, more hairstyles, more clothes.  That shit was fun.  Getting fat and trying to outrun the cops on foot after you smack them on the head with a dildo lol, come on how can you beat that??  Plus the Army coming in with tanks and helicopters once you got that last star.  Man now I wish I still had a PS2.  I miss San Andreas.

Do you have a computer?
Just download a torrent, it looks better on the PC anyways.
I use a logitech controller based on the ps2 and use SAAC 1.2(San Andreas Advanced Control) which makes it control just like it the PS2, after a few changes.

I thought it was still in beta. Looks pretty though, using the new engine. I just hate glitches and shit so I didn't try it, just in case that is.

Verrrrrrrrrrrry interesting.  Would be nice to not have the load screens between areas.  I figured it would be on a torrent site but I don't have any of the proper hardware.

Yeah its still in beta - I don't think the map is very buggy but they probably haven't worked in any of the actual storyline or anything... its 15gb so you know they were pretty thorough - it'd be very interesting to test out.

Proper hardware? It doesn't take much to run it and you can just use a keyboard and mouse, it actually makes it easier in gun battles, walking around. Flying and driving I do prefer a controller, which is the only reason I do use one.

Oh and you also have your own radio station which plays your MP3's.  :awesomenod:

I might check it out, or at least download it when it is complete for my next play through, which seems to be every one to two years.

Oh I thought it needed a controller.  Downloading a video game is something I've never done.  I'm really not much of a gamer, only playing GTA and occasionally a FPS.
